The Kenyan government’s National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) is responsible for providing health insurance to Kenyans. NHIF stands for National Health Insurance Fund. The NHIF is managed and administered by the government. Its principal purpose is to give all Kenyans affordable healthcare. The insurance cover for self-employed people is 500 KES per month or 6000 KES per year. Employees earning 100,000 Kenyan shillings or more are entitled to 1700 Kenyan shillings per month from their employers. You must pay for three months at a total cost of 1500 after registering as a new member, and you must wait two months for it to mature before you can start receiving advantages. Normally, the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) is not paid until the fourth month following enrolment.
